Team Clean Tas' West Coast Cleanup An incredible 50,167 pieces of rubbish collected from Tassie's remote beaches!

Each year the incredible volunteers from Team Clean Tas travel down to Tassie’s remote southwest coast to remove washed up rubbish from a string of inaccessible World Heritage listed beaches. This year, they collected a huge 50,167(!!) pieces of rubbish from some of Tassie’s wildest beaches!

An incredible effort over 10 days, bringing the total of all South-West Marine Debris Cleanups to 761,222 pieces of rubbish, all which have been cleaned and counted are now on the way to be recycled or repurposed!

Read all about their epic journey; the hours of collecting, sorting and counting rubbish as well as the in-between surfs, cook-ups of fresh fish and crays, pods of dolphins riding the bow waves, majestic scenery and their ever-evolving live-aboard band at wha-marinedebris.blogspot.com
